There are so many class activities that you encounter in your student life. But I believe the best of them are the ones that don’t even happen inside.
Practical application of learnings outside the classroom is my favorite. The best way of actually learning, for me, is to apply it.
It’s stimulating in a way because you can encounter it in real life. Along with meeting other people to learn from.
As a communications student, production is the best course for me. I will never forget when we went out to witness a live sports production.
It’s such a great opportunity for students to learn beyond chairs and tables. Imagine how exhilarating it was for us to actually watch the PBA live.
From Taft to Smart Araneta Coliseum. Who would not be thrilled?
We get to actually learn from people who have been working in that industry for years. It feels like a glimpse of what could be waiting ahead for you in your field.
So, what are the FAQs: Why do we need to have more outside activities in learning? Purely, this is my reflection after experiencing such an activity.
WHO needs learning outside the classroom?
Schools are for students, and students who find themselves enjoying learning will be more engaged. Students have to find themselves interested in the subject or course.
WHEN should classes be taken outside the classroom?
Not every lesson needs to go outside, but maybe we just need this at least once as an experience in a subject matter. Something to experience differently than taking a class inside the classroom.
WHERE can learning outside the classroom happen?
I believe there are so many places that remain unexplored in the world. Maybe it’s time to take a look at them outside the classroom, look around in ou society, in so many places and communities.
HOW MUCH should schools rely on outside activities?
Well, to suggest means trust. Trust your professor with how much we actually need to go outside for the course curriculum.

At the end of the day, students will have their own best way to find themselves immersing in learning. However, the professor would always have the power to give a breakthrough beyond what you can experience in the classroom.
Just remember that a class inside the roof doesn’t mean you’ll get less knowledge. Sometimes, it’s still up to us whether we allow ourselves to limit what we know.
In the end, it’s the professor and students who have to meet halfway on what they want to achieve in a class activity. Go exchange knowledge and do it with purpose.
So what’s your best school activity encountered? Would you wish to have it more often?
